This is a lovely good quality 19th Century mirror.
This is a lovely mirror, that is full of age, charm and character, with large proportions.
Wood, gesso and wire construction (typical) with an impressive pediment and decoration. No woodworm.
An impressive and rare find.
Overall maximum dimensions: 113cm wide, 143cm high (excluding fixings). Glass area: 94cm wide, 120cm high.
There is some cracking to the gesso (as is the norm) with some minor losses. Evidence of frame repainting and touching up. Possibly had ceramic mantle supports originally.
As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations.
