Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1910s.
It stands on splayed back legs and beautifully carved cabriole front legs with ball and claw feet. This delightful chair is a typical piece from the Edwardian era due to the lighter style, it would make a great furniture component to a study, bedroom or even a lounge. The walnut has aged to a medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
