Fine quality and very stylish 19th Century Italianate hall chair, c1870. The chair is beautifully and extensively decorated in poker work, with lovely mask and foliage decoration.

It has good colour / patina consistent with over 100 years of use and is a useful, attractive and decorative piece of furniture. There is a split / crack to one side panel which looks to be heat related (where the wood has expanded), but this in no way detracts from the charm of this piece (see photograph).
