Set of 6 Georgian Mahogany Ladder Back Dining Chairs

Description

Very nice set of six probably Scottish 18th century Georgian mahogany ladder back dining chairs. These are smaller chairs than the equivalent English examples.

They are a very pleasant design. The nice shape ladder backs with carved decoration to the top rail. Moulded square legs united by stretchers beneath. The front rails being of serpentine shape.

One very nice feature is the small shaped ears to the bottom of the frame where the legs are all round.

The condition of the chairs is very good, they are all structurally sound and a nice colour. They do though need re-upholstering as the webbing is starting to go.

SIZE; 19" across the front. 18" deep and 36£ high overall
