Description

This is a very pretty French Victorian giltwood chair in delightful original condition. The chair is in good sound structural order and has its original gilding to the gesso hardwood frame. The chair has its original aubusson inspired tapestry fabric with a beautifully worn, country house look to it. The carved giltwood frame is classically influenced with beautiful swags, ribbons, acanthus and bows in crisp detail. This is really decorative piece dating from around 1870.

A little gem.

This measures 35" high and 20" wide by 20". The seat height is 15".
