Description:
The chairs feature an attractive “balloon” shaped back with a floral carved central splat and acanthus leaf carvings to the shoulders of the chairs. The drop-in seats have been newly reupholstered in top quality satin cotton brocade with a diamond pattern. The seats are firm but comfortable. The chairs stand on elegant ring turned & tapering legs with sabre legs to the rear.
The chairs feature a deep rich red mahogany colour. As they boast the original polish, they have a fantastic colour, depth and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. It is impossible to re-create this colour if the chairs have been re-polished.
Condition Report:
This set of chairs is in excellent original condition. The chairs are constructed of solid mahogany. Displaying a beautiful rich deep red mahogany patina, they are of good quality and are heavy in weight. This set of chairs retains the original polish, which is why the chairs boast such a lovely deep rich red / brown mahogany colour. The drop-in seats have been newly reupholstered in top quality satin cotton brocade with a diamond pattern. The upholstery is therefore clean, free from stains or marks. The seat frames and chair joints are also solid. There are no breaks to the backs or legs of any of the chairs. All chairs are solid in joint and ready to be used.
