Country Georgian Antique Ash And Elm Windsor Chair

This Charming Ash & Elm Antique Windsor Chair dates from the Georgian period circa, 1780. It has a beautiful curved back with central pierced back splat and beautiful turned upright supports. The seat is beautifully figured, and it is evident from the hundreds of years of use how smooth the wonderful curved arms feel. This Charming chair stands on four beautifully turned legs and benefits from the original crinoline stretcher. The ash and elm has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
