Large 19th Century Ornate French Gilt Mirror

A large mid/late 19th century ornate French gilt mirror.

The mirror consists of a gilt wood and gesso frame with a central rocaille cresting to the top with scrolling foliate decoration in the typical Rococo style.

To each outer corner is a decorate floral design bracket, the main frame being of a twisting acanthus and bead design.

The mirror is surrounded by a ball bead decoration and to each of the inner corners is a floral decoration.

This mirror can either be displayed on a wall (fixings attached) or standing directly on a floor.

The complete mirror and mirror plate is in very good, original condition and can go straight into a home.
