This is a very good quality set of 6 antique oak country farmhouse ladder-back rush seated kitchen dining chairs, circa 1910, in excellent original condition, attributable to the Lancashire region of England. This is an original set and not matched together. The set consists of 6 side chairs. All chairs boast graduated wavy shaped back splats above hand woven seats. The base of the chairs feature turned ash legs on a pad foot base.
The front stretcher, which is constructed of elm, is heavy and turned – a good sign of quality. All chairs are made from top quality ash and elm, they are firm in joint and do not wobble. The chairs are heavy in weight, which is a good sign of quality.

The chairs feature a rich as and elm dark brown colour. As they boast the original polish, they have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.

These chairs are in excellent original condition. This is an original full and true set of chairs. They have not been matched together from smaller sets of chairs (which you see in some large sets of chairs for sale). The rush seats are all in excellent condition. Importantly, there are no breaks to the legs or backs of the chairs. The chairs are heavy in weight, which is a good sign of quality. The frames of the chairs are sold and in excellent condition with no splits or lose movements. As they boast the original polish, they have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.
