Armchair Arts and Crafts Oak and Rush Seat C1900

Description

Here we have a wonderful Victorian oak arts and crafts armchair c1900. As you can see the Oak has supreme colour and patina. There is a shaped top rail with capped supports on a ball turning. The centre is peirced and below there is a stunning inlaid splat. The inlay is of typical form and of Boxwood and stained fruitwood. The seat which appears to be original is very well worked and the arms beautifully shaped. The arm supports are particularly exquisite being tapered and wider at the base. The legs are also nicely tapered. A very handsome and elegant chair in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 22 inches wide 45.5 high and 19 deep.
