An absolutely charming example of a very small early Victorian overmantel mirror – ideal for use over a fireplace in a bedroom or in a small cottage living room. It has a most attractive frame in bird's eye maple with gilded capitals and a similarly decorated sight edge. The glass plate is original with a beautifully soft, warm reflection. This fine overmantel is English, and it dates from c.1850's.
