Description

Regency brass inlaid faux rosewood elbow desk chair or carver. A great rare find and very decorative. Dates from the first half of the 19th Century and has those sought after sabre legs. Solid, heavy and strong with no loose joints. Good new reupholstery in a heavy weight upholstery fabric, with a natural, light cream/oatmeal colour.

Some historic extinct woodworm holes that we have treated for good measure. Some of the brass inlay is missing (filled). The seat would have originally been cane and strengthening has been added beneath the seat. Evidence of refinishing.

Overall maximum dimensions: 52cm wide, 56cm deep, 86cm high (43cm high seat, 67cm high arms).
