A 19thc Windsor High Backed Chair with Crinoline.

19th century
Description

An 18thC ash and elm Windsor high backed armchair. Crinoline stretcher between the three ring decorated legs. The shaped elm seat with a good grain pattern. The hoop back may well be yew wood as it shows some yew characteristics as does the upper part of the wheel back splat. Some minor repairs and added screws have been inserted long ago in the past but overall the chair is sturdy.

Height to the top of the back 110cm

Height of the seat 42cm from the ground.

Outside width of the arms at the front 57.5cm
