Set of 4 William IV 19th Century balloon back carved mahogany dining chairs. Fine quality chairs dating from 1820 to 1850. Very desirable and attractive design, with tapered octagonal front legs.

A great rare find, with a lovely colour, age, patina and charm. Solid very heavy chairs, with no loose joints. Reupholstered seats, in a very heavy weight upholstery fabric (no wear or marks).

As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations. A few historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure.

Overall maximum dimensions: Chair 47.5cm wide, 54cm deep, 88cm high (45cm high seat when sat on).
