Large Regency 19th Century wall, overmantle mirror. This is a lovely mirror, full of age, charm and character, with great large proportions. The bevel edge mirrored glass has light/medium oxidation/foxing/defects and appears original (if not a very early replacement).

As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations. Aged gilt paint finish on wood and gesso, which has been touched up/repainted many times. There is loads of historic cracking on the gesso as you would expect to see. Quite a lot of the gesso decoration has been lost on the sides, but the main scene at the top is mostly intact. There are some historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure. Later plywood back.

Overall maximum dimensions: 130.5cm wide, 85.5cm high, 7cm deep.
