Large Late Victorian Oak Desk Chair

Description

Circa 1890, large oak and fabric covered desk chair. The horseshoe shaped chair has a padded deep buttoned back and upholstered arms held in place by two large uprights on each side. And an open fretwork splat on the back. The large shaped seat has fabric upholstery in the centre. Standing on substantial turned tapering legs at the front and square shaped legs at the back united by a turned H stretcher, all on brass and porcelain castors. Generous size and very stylish.

Size 85cm high x 70cm wide x 56cm deep.
