Georgian Antiques has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The ladies chair has a small raised section at the back which is carved with flower head roundels. The seats on both chairs are stuffover and serpentine fronted and beneath them is a wonderful carved apron. The back legs are turned and outswept, the front legs are cabriole with a square block almost in a Greek key pattern. Standing on the original brass and white porcelain castors. Excellent colour and condition.
