Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
With Arts and Crafts Influences and probably made by the renowned cabinet makers Lambs of Manchester, circa, 1900, these fabulous chairs have a wonderful curved back with shaped slatted back splat, curved scrolled arms and beautifully turned upright supports.
They have been marvellously upholstered in a burgundy leather with studded trim. Due to this unique design these chairs are incredibly comfortable. The Walnut has aged to a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
