Here is a good quality antique English Victorian oak revolving office armchair (circa 1870) by S.E. & R. Johnson Cabinet makers of Warrington, Cheshire. The chair features an elegant shaped bar back inset with a sunburst carving open turned ball arms, which connect to a padded red leather seat with a brass studding to the perimeter. The elegant shaped splayed legs sit on brass castors. The chair rotates 360 degrees and the seat height is fixed. The chair is stamped “Established 1837, S.E. & R. Johnson Cabinet makers of Warrington, Cheshire” on the underside of the seat. The mechanism on this chair is in good condition and the chair is very comfortable.

This item features a rich mid brown oak colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

This item would look superb in a variety of rooms in the home, especially the office or study as it so comfortable. This item would certainly grace any home. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
