Rare early C19th Regency period Anglo-Indian coramandel armchair. A finely-drawn example of a classic Regency design armchair constructed entirely from solid East Indian coromandel or Calamander . Elegant reeded frame, scroll arms, and sabre legs ,with double-bar lumbar support with a finely carved central classical floral motif .Shaped and reeded top rail, with original cane-work/rattan seat and of typical Colonially-made pegged construction. Strikingly-figured exotic timber.
