Description

A striking pair of 18th century mahogany chairs. These beautiful provincial chairs – with obvious design influence from Thomas Chippendale – are each comprised of an open scrolling fretwork back, and a drop-in upholstered seat supported on square-section legs united by stretchers. They make a handsome pair and would grace any room in the house. High quality timbers have been used and there is an original finish throughout with a good rich colour and patination. English, c.1760s.
