Unusual Horizontal Oval Carriage Clock

Description

An unusual French brass carriage clock of oval form, this example being horizontal as opposed to the usual vertical type. It has an enamel dial with bowed front, back and top glasses. The sides have oval bevel edge glass panels. It is supported on fine Dresser style feet. It has an 8 day movement with a lever platform. The reverse bears the trade mark for Couallet of Saint-Nicholas-d'Aliermont.

Current Condition

In good condition, , all glasses perfect. The movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
