Pair of Quality Victorian Tub Armchairs

A good quality pair of late Victorian mahogany tub armchairs. The chairs have turned front legs with, shaped and carved arms, and similarly shaped and carved on the back. The back is supported by many finely turned spindles in a similar fashion to a captains chair. The chairs are of good quality and solid, sturdy construction, with unusual 'Reilly Patent' double castors. The chairs are upholstered in old fabric of a tan colour which is in remarkably good condition and therefore are very useable as they are and exceptionally comfortable. C.1890.
