The rushing on the chair is the original.
Provenance - sold by Miss Cranston in 1919 to the Robertson family who owned an important jewellers in Sauchiehall Street and Hill House in Helensburgh designed by Mackintosh . When Hill House was sold to the Royal Scottish Institute Of Architects the chairs came to Dorset in 1973 where they remained until purchased by us last year.
