This is a good quality Charles II style oak carved hall / side chair originating from the Lancashire region, which has been constructed from early 17th century panels & timbers during the late Victorian period, circa 1880.
The seat features a round turning to the centre. Below, the chair is supported by elegant “pear-shape” turned bobbin legs, which are connected by double stretchers for added strength. The chairs boast a stunning colour.

The chair features a rich dark brown colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
