A fine pair of late William IV period mahogany hall chairs. The chairs stand on elegantly turned and fluted front legs, with sabre back legs. The seats are solid mahogany and the backs are wonderfully shaped and carved. The whole are of Cuban mahogany and unlike most hall chairs are in excellent undamaged condition. The chairs have a rich untouched patina which gives them a deep shine. C.1840.
