Unusual Set of Eight Solid Oak Antique Dining Chairs

This very unusual set of eight solid oak antique dining chairs are an elaborate example of Edwardian craftsmanship, circa 1910. The set consists of two carvers and six dining chairs, all with ornately hand carved heads as finials on the back upright supports. They stand on robustly turned legs with a 'H' stretcher for added stability and display a beautiful barley twist central support to the front. They are upholstered in a faux green leather which is good to go and have been finished with a stud trim. The oak has a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
