Superb Quality, Comfortable, Howard Style Victorian Antique Armchair

This wonderful quality antique armchair is in the Howard style, dates from the Victorian period, circa 1880, and is extremely comfortable. It has a winged back with curved arms and a loose, feather filled deep seat cushion. The chair stands on mahogany legs, the back being splayed while the front are turned, all are finished with brass castors. The chair has been professionally reupholstered in a Morris Wool Stripe fabric supplied by 'Art of the Loom'. The mahogany has a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
