Georgian Oak & Elm Country Antique Windsor Chair

Dating from around 1780 in the Georgian period this delightful country style chair is in a Windsor design and made from a combination of oak and elm. It has a curved back with central pierced back splat along with turned upright supports. The seat is beautifully figured and rests on four turned legs with a 'H' stretcher for added stability. The chair has aged to a wonderful warm shade. It has a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
