Made predominantly from oak, giving them their strength, they have a scrolled shaped back with attractively designed back splat and turned bobbin supports. The wicker seats are in excellent condition and rest on turned bobbin front legs and squared back legs; cross stretchers add the stability necessary to make these very usable chairs. These gorgeous antique occasional chairs have aged to a medium dark shade with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
