Set of Six Edwardian Mahogany Antique Dining Chairs

Dating from around 1900 this set of six antique Edwardian dining chairs are constructed from mahogany. The set consists of two carvers and four dining chairs. They have shaped backs and pierced carved central back splats. They each stand on splayed back legs and tapering front legs with a 'H' stretcher for added stability. The carvers have beautifully carved scrolled arms while the upholstery on all the chairs is a neutral green fabric with stud trim and is in a good condition. There are some old repairs evident however the chairs are still very solid and good for everyday use. The mahogany has aged to a medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
