Set of 8 Georgian Style Mahogany Hoop-back Dining Chairs, C.1900

A very good quality set of eight Hepplewhite revival mahogany dining chairs dating to circa 1900 and consisting of six single and two carver chairs. The chairs are a dark mahogany colour with a hoop shaped back and pierced vase shaped splat. The wide serpentine fronted overstuffed dished seats stand on fluted square tapering legs with block feet and outsplayed legs to the back.

These are in good solid firm condition but the red and cream striped upholstery is marked and worn in places. The colour is a nice rich chocolate brown, on a couple the polish has started to go dead in places on the back and on the front of another.
