A true set of ten mahogany late Regency period dining chairs. The chairs stand on turned and tapered front legs carved with a lotus flower collar. The front rail of each chair has a ogee mould. The seats are drop in. The backs are very plain a simple bar back with a broad top rail with an elegant backwards curve. The design of the chair is very classical, with simple clean lines. The chairs are in very good order, there have been some old repairs but all are sturdy and very useable. The drop in seats are in need of recovering. The mahogany is a nice dark caramel colour. These are a true set of ten dining chairs and it is a rare opportunity to purchase such a large set.
