Georgian Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The chairs have leather stuff over seats, recently traditionally re-leathered, and stand on turned legs at the front and an elegant slightly swept leg at the back again with chamfered corners. The armchairs are of a similar design with shaped arms with almost hexagonal ends on them, supported by rectangular uprights with chamfered corners. The chairs have been reframed, have good colour and are sturdy.
