Fine Set of 8 "Ladder-back" Dining Chairs

Description

A particularly impressive and fine quality mid-late 19th century SET OF EIGHT solid mahogany Chippendale-style ladder-back DINING CHAIRS.

Comprising six singles and two carvers, each chair features well-carved pierced backs, and overstuffed seats upholstered in pale green damask, whilst the two carvers have generous carved mahogany outswept arms. They are supported on moulded solid mahogany front legs, united by "H" stretchers, and all are of a good 'warm' colour.
