Rare Queen Anne Walnut Nursing Chair. Circa; 1720

Description

VERY RARE early 18th century Queen Anne / George I walnut cabriole leg nursing chair. This is the first cabriole leg nursing chair I have ever seen.

All in walnut with nice shape back splat and top rail. Front cabriole legs with carved scroll decoration. Original turned stretchers beneath.

A few of the ears are missing from the sides of the legs and have been for at least 150 years which I wouldn't worry about otherwise this is a very nice early chair.

Wonderful rich colour and patination.

SIZES; 21" across the front. 36" high overall. 14" seat height.
