Chinese Armchair with Carved Dragons

A late 19thc/early 20thc superb quality Chinese armchair of hoop shape with carved dragons & carp.

The chair is made from a close grain rosewood & is extremely dense & has a good faded patina (colour).

The hoop back forms two armrests depicting carved dragon/carp heads.

These lead down to well carved dragons forming the scroll legs.

The chair has a cane seat of very good condition & the front rail has a carved dragon decoration.

This chair is depicting the carp transforming into a dragon, a popular Chinese legend.

This is in stable condition & can go straight into a property.
