Antique Upholstered Armchair. Very Howardesque.

19th century
Description

A superb, shapely antique armchair, being nice, deep and comfortable.

The elegant legs are turned, ebonised walnut and are complete with the period brass 'Copes - Strong castors.

One of the legs are stamped with two lines of numbers, 4275 and 7323.

Ready to be re-upholstered, but the period innards are in good strong condition and could be kept.

The deep, shaped side rails are in keeping with the Howard stamp of an armchair.

English. Circa: 1870.

Dimensions: 74cm high x 70cm wide x 80cm deep. Seat: 38cm high
