The chairs are a classic design and traditionally made from solid wood they have hooped wedge backs in the traditional Windsor style with spindles and a pierced centre splat in the shape of a wagon wheel
These are very sturdy chairs they are very sound this is probably because they are so well made, the joints are all good, there is no woodworm or wobbling, the wood has a good natural patination and has not been stripped
The chairs are 35" high at the back; the seats are 19" high, 15" wide across the front
