Here we have a fine and rare Windsor armchair made by John Shadford of Caister Lincolnshire c1860. As you can see the chair is in the original stain and has wonderful colour and patina. This Caister chair has wonderful turned spindles due to the fact that John Shadford was not only an expert chair maker but also a wood turner. As with all these chairs they were made as low firesides to be used with a stool to keep your feet from the cold floors. The chair is in great condition and ready to use. a rare chair offered with no reserve ready for your home.
