A very unusual smokers bow armchair in yew wood, having fine turned legs united by a H stretcher and beautiful turnings supporting the arms, which are solid yew and have a great shape to them. The chair is so unusual as it is all yew with the exception of the seat which is always elm, but it is also of a more robust size and has a higher back than the model of chair usually has and may have been a specially made chair. This type of chair was made in north Nottinghamshire. C.1840.
