A generously proportioned French walnut gentleman's armchair in a similar style to the English Gainsborough chair.

This chair is strong, sound and solid certianly no breaks or sign of woodworm and I would say, made in Paris around the 1880's.

The upholstery is a bit marked but in good condition . It could easily be re-covered should you wish.
