Set of Four 19thc Wheelback Windsor Chairs

Description

A set of four mid 19thc wheelback country windsor chairs of ash, elm & beech. These are of very good colour & have traces of the original red wash in places.

These are low hoop-back windsor chairs with a wheel design middle splat.

They have a turned H stretcher & bobbin-turned legs on each chair.

Chairs such as these were mainly made in the Thames Valley, possibly High Wycombe.

Height: 35'' / 89cm

Width: 15'' / 38cm

Depth: 18'' / 46cm
