Shapely Antique Upholstered Armchair by 'Gillows'.

Description

SHAPELY ANTIQUE UPHOLSTERED ARMCHAIR BY 'GILLOWS'.

A large and generous antique armchair, made and stamped by the famous Victorian furniture makers, Gillows of Lancaster.

Both back legs are stamped, 'Gillow'.

The oak show wood features carved hare bells on the legs and a foliage motif in the front rail.

In original finish/colour.

Currently upholstered in a 1930's clean fabric.

In very good condition.

English. Circa: 1880.

Dimensions: 92cm high x 77cm wide x 90cm deep. Seat: 45cm high.
