A lovely and desirable Victorian gilt arch shaped mirror. The mirror is neoclassical in style with a plain pediment base and reeded column supported sides which have wonderful elongated lutus leaf capitals. The swept arch top is also decorated with leaf moulding. The mirror retains the original gilt finish which has worn where dusted but gives an excellent country house look to it. The mirror plate which is beautifully bevelled is also the original. The whole is an unusual shape and highly attractive period mirror. C.1840
