Description

A beautiful antique mahogany chiffonier / side cabinet, dating from approximately 1880–1900, around the late Victorian to early Edwardian period.

This elegant and highly practical piece features a rich mahogany finish with attractive natural grain and a wonderfully warm aged colour.

The cabinet is fitted with a generous full-width upper drawer, finished with a pair of traditional brass ring handles. Below are two cupboard doors with attractive reeded panel fronts, opening to reveal a useful and spacious storage compartment.

Above the main top is a raised shaped gallery back with a simple curved profile, adding character without making the piece overly decorative. Traditional moulded edges, panelled sides and slender square legs complete the restrained late Victorian.

Height to Main Surface: 74 cm

Presented in very good antique condition, with age related marks, small scratches, variations in colour and general signs of previous use consistent with its age.
