An ogee rummer is a British drinking vessel originating in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, characterized by a bowl featuring a double-curved S-shape profile resting on a short stem and flat circular foot.

Georgian rummers were typically hand-blown using heavy lead glass, known for its clarity, resonant sound when tapped, and weight compared to soda glass.

Authentic period pieces display hand-finished characteristics such as a snapped or ground pontil mark underneath the foot, slight asymmetry from hand-blowing, and a characteristic dark greyish tinge inherent to historic lead glass.

These historical glasses can be styled on a dining sideboard, integrated into a curated home bar display, or used as decorative accents in a glass display cabinet.

Hand wash gently in lukewarm water using mild detergent and soft cloths, avoiding dishwashers and sudden temperature changes that cause thermal shock and cracking.
