This pair of large Georgian rummers is fashioned from clear lead glass and crystal. Each vessel displays a bucket-shaped bowl decorated with slice cutting to the lower body, supported by a knopped stem with collars near the bowl and the circular flat foot. A wide polished pontil mark sits beneath each base. The glass stands 13.2 cm high, 9.2 cm wide, and 9.2 cm deep. These versatile pieces suit service for wine, beer, or spirits in a contemporary home. They find a natural placement on a sideboard top or within a dining cabinet, bringing functional English country house style to daily use or entertaining.

A rummer is a type of short-stemmed, large-bowled drinking glass that became prominent in Britain during the late 18th and early 19th centuries, typically used for serving spirits, toddies, or wine.

Georgian rummers were primarily hand-blown using heavy lead glass, historically referred to as flint glass, featuring hand-cut facet details, knopped stems, and broad circular feet.

Authentic Georgian pieces often feature a pontil mark on the base, minor air bubbles or asymmetry from hand-blowing, distinct greyish tones in the heavy lead glass, and wear on the foot rim.

These versatile vessels can be styled on a sideboard, displayed within a glass cabinet, or incorporated into contemporary dining settings as water or cocktail glasses.

Hand wash antique glass in warm water using mild dish soap and a soft cloth, avoiding dishwashers and rapid temperature changes that cause thermal shock.
