Elm 'Bandsman' Chairs - c1850

Four lovely elm chairs in great order. They offer solid seating and great warmth and charm.

Dating from c1850 these benefit from excellent elm grain to the seats.

The turned legs are unified by an H-stretcher to provide a robust base. The seat back consists of five double turned uprights detailed nicely with a gentle taper below the header rail.

Overall an excellent set of chairs, in great condition, and wonderfully comfortable too.
