Antique Victorian Mahogany & Leather Spoon Back Salon Chair C1880 W6477/26.6

Description

Gorgeous antique victorian mahogany and leather spoon back salon armchair and dating form aorund 1880. It has a deep moulded mahogany frame above adeep button back rest and lovely scrolled arms with carved mahogany front supports incorporating a shaped cabriole leg on a scroll foot. It has a deep stuff over seat above a mahogany skirt. This beautiful chair has been recovered in a quality soft supple black leather approximately some 60/70 years ago keeping its horsehair filling and has now a lovely aged and comfy appearance against the polished mahogany.

Measures: 41" high X seat height 15" X 33" deep X 29" wide

In very good condition being sound and solid and with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozing the charm and character of the period.
